Even if your yard is small, you still may choose the new Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower because of the many other benefits & features this robot lawn mower has over the other lawn mowers... read on.
The LawnBott LB3500 is capable of mowing 30-degree slopes. New for 2009, the wheels for the LawnBott LB3500 have been redesigned. Also, this robotic lawn mower now features an on board compass which helps the robotic mower transverse hilly terrains while staying on course. The LawnBott LB3500 robotic lawn mower is rated to handle up to 30-degree slopes with optional spiked wheels (27 degrees without spiked wheels). Optional spiked wheels are safe to run on most hard surfaces but will not cut the perimeter wire.re.
The Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower can cover up to 4 mowing zones automatically - each with its own entry point. Think of zones as different sections of your yard. For example, the front yard can be a zone and your backyard is a zone. In some cases the front and side areas can be combined into one zone depending on the size and yard configuration. Once setup, the Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower will follow the shortest route from its docking station along the perimeter wire (either direction) until it reaches the desired zone. After it completes mowing, your Lawnbott robotic lawn mower follows the wire back to the docking station to charge automatically. As a side note: We will gladly illustrate a wire installation plan for your yard. We offer this service free of charge to all our customers to eliminate the guesswork when determining the best mowing efficiency. Robomower.biz will also walk you through the one-time setup process step by step over the phone or through email to ensure your complete satisfaction. We will be your authorized point of contact for any future questions, warranty, or out of warranty repairs.
The LawnBott are the only robotic lawn mowers that have been accepted by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
One of the biggest fears about robotic lawnmowers is safety. It's easy to mistakenly correlate the obvious dangers of a push lawnmower or a riding lawnmower to a robotic lawnmower. But the fact is, robotic lawnmowers are many times safer than its manual counterparts just because you eliminate the human needing to be around it while it's operating. However, all LawnBott robotic lawn mowers have built in safety features that shut down the blade motor when it's picked up. In addition to the lift detectors, the Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower goes a step beyond by shutting the blade off when the pick up handle is touched . By merely touching the handle, the blade will stop instantly - actually in less than a second. Therefore, before you can even grab the mower, the blade has already stopped!
When the Lawnbott LB3500 lawn mower gently taps an object, it reverses and goes in another direction. Here's how it works: The outer shell of the Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower freely floats over the chassis. When it encounters an object, sensors instantly detect the movement of the shell. The LB3500 uses three magnetic reed type sensors, which is an improvement to the two micro-switches in the Lawnbott LB3200 Evolution robotic lawn mower. Both types of Lawnbott switches are more advanced and reliable than those used in the Robomower.
The Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower comes with an alarm built inside. When the lawnmower is picked up, the alarm goes off. It's not as loud and annoying as a car alarm, but loud enough to scream attention. In addition to the alarm, the Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower (as well as all other Lawnbott models) allow you to set a pin code before operating. This will render the robotic lawn mower useless in wrong hands.
The Advanced Spiral Cut allows the LawnBott LB3500 robotic lawn mower to concentrate, by spiraling outwards, from any area where it senses high grass. This feature helps to assure an evenly cut lawn and helps the Lawnbott robotic lawn mower spend more time in areas of the lawn that grow faster than the rest.
The Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower has a double lithium battery which is the equivalent to 2 (two) Lawnbott lithium batteries. They are lightweight, do not have a memory, contain smart chips to ensure a longer life span, and are expected to last 4-5 years before needing to be replaced. (That's a life span 2 - 3 times longer than lead acid batteries.) Out the box the LawnBott LB3500 robotic lawn mower can mow well over 5 hours on one single charge with just one double lithium battery. Charging only takes 3-4 hours. The Lawnbott robotic lawn mower can mow twice a day.
As the Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower mows, it monitors the amount of grass resistance from the blade. On low grass, the blade motor slows down, but on higher grass the Lawnbott robotic lawn mower pushes more power to the mowing motor to slice through thickest grass. Smart - very smart! Blade modulation conserves battery power.
The LawnBott LB3500 robotic lawn mower can automatically adapt its mowing time to the cutting requirements of your lawn. As it mows, it monitors and remembers how your grass is growing. Over a short period of time, the LawnBott robotic lawn mower will adjust its schedule (within a specified time window) to mow when your lawn needs mowed. This not only conserves battery life and lengthens the durability of the electric motors; it also contributes to a healthier looking lawn. This feature is great during fast growth spurts or droughts since there's no need to adjust the schedule.
The Lawnbott robotic lawn mower is rain-proof but to protect your lawn, the included
adjustable rain sensor alerts the Lawnbott robotic lawn mower to return to its docking
station or stay in the docking station while it's raining. After rain stops and the lawn is dry, the LawnBott robotic lawn mower will automatically resume mowing sessions. The rain sensor can optionally be set to 'pause' the Lawnbott lawn mower until you restart its missions. You can also disable the rain sensor.

As a convenient alternative to the LCD interface located on the rear of the lawn mower, the LawnBott LB3500 is capable of being interfaced with a bluetooth device. You can control the movements of the robotic lawn mower through the bluetooth device if you do not want to pick it up. Since most bluetooth devices have a range of less than 30 feet, if you locate your charging station against your home, you should be able to modify it's schedule from inside your home! This is a nice feature if you're expecting guest to arrive and would like to modify or check its schedule without going outside. It's nice to know that your mower is ready for when this feature becomes available.
The Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower (actually all Lawnbott robotic lawn mowers ) use custom IMS motors that were specially designed to use for Lawnbott robotic lawn mowers. The direct motor-to-wheel method does not use loud plastic gears found in the Robomower. Not only is motor-to-wheel a lot more reliable, it's also nearly silent but yet more than powerful enough to handle steep slopes! The LB3500 lawn mower can barely be heard just standing 20 feet away. Believe it or not, the Lawnbott LB3200 Evolution robotic lawn mower is even quieter and can barely be heard standing 15 feet away.
A perimeter signal disturbance filter is now included with the LawnBott LB3500. This filter condenses the perimeter wire signal reducing interface and signal flares.
All Lawnbott robotic lawn mowers have a "predicted" life span of 8-10 years before needing to replace parts other than the blade and battery. Tne LawnBott LB3500 robotic lawn mower more rugged than the previous LawnBott generation so we wouldn't be surprised if it will last longer. Since all Lawnbott parts are user replaceable, it will last forever - or until you are ready to upgrade to the latest and greatest. (The average lifespan of a gas lawn mower is about 1-4 years with plugs, filters, gas and oil being regular maintenance.)
Same as Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower but with 2 additional lithium batteries for expanded mowing times. The Lawnbott LB3500X robotic lawn mower can mow lawns up to 2 acres in size. The Lawnbott LB3500X robotic lawn mower ships fully assembled.
Those are just the highlights. The Lawnbott LB3500 robotic lawn mower can do everything its little brother, the Lawnbott LB3200 Evolution robotic lawn mower can do.
