Lawnbott Evolution LB3210
LawnBott Evolution LB3210 Review
The LawnBott Evolution LB3210 / LB3250 robotic lawn mower has new features for 2009 which include: alarm, new wheel design, improved motors, improvements to the programming, hardware, can now mow 4 zones, and much more.
The LawnBott LB3210 / LB3500 are the only robotic lawn mowers that come with a RF (radio frequency) remote as a standard feature.
The LawnBott Evolution LB3210 robotic lawn mower, designed and made in Italy, is only 16.5 inches wide and weighs only 22 pounds but can handle small lawns and large lawns ¾ of an acre in it's base form. (Up to 1.25 acres when upgraded.) It was the first robotic lawn mower with Adaptive Programming Technology. Its learning computer actually reprograms itself to adapt its mowing time to the cutting requirements of your yard. This not only conserves battery life and lengthens the durability of the electric motors; it also contributes to a healthier looking lawn.
| As it mows, the Lawnbott Evolution monitors the amount of resistance against the blade. On low grass, the blade motor slows down, but on higher grass the Lawnbott pushes more power to the mowing motor to slice through thickest grass. Smart - very smart! Since Lawnbott blades are thinner than regular lawn mower blades, you'll notice the cut quality is a lot cleaner and healthier for the lawn, plus these blades stay sharper longer. |

The Lawnbott Evolution LB3210 robotic lawn mower is able to cover areas up to 33,000 sq. ft. That represents approximately ¾ acre of lawn! It will navigate slopes of up to 27°. By adding optional spiked wheels, most uneven terrains can be mowed with the LB3210 Evolution lawn mower. (Spiked wheels add onto the current wheel.)
The Lawnbott Evolution-X / Lawnbott LB3250 (formerly LB3200X) robotic lawn mower can cover areas up to 1.25 acres with the added second lithium battery. Also the extra battery gives the blade motor a boost, which enables it to mow thicker grass.
The LB3210 / LB3250 Evolution comes with an radio frequency remote control. The remote control can be used to manually start an automatic mowing session, pause the LawnBott, and command it to find the docking station. The remote control can also be used to steer the robotic lawn mower while mowing (similar to a remote controlled lawn mower.) The LawnBott LB3210 / LawnBott LB3250 is the only LawnBott that comes with the RF remote control as a standard feature.
Advanced Spiral Cut programming allows the Lawnbott Evolution LB3210 robot lawn mower to concentrate, by spiraling outwards, from any area where it senses higher grass. This feature helps to assure an evenly cut lawn.
Lawnbott lithium batteries are lightweight (about 2 lb. each), do not have a memory, contain smart chips to ensure a longer life span, and are expected to last 4-5 years before needing to be replaced. (That is a life span 2 - 3 times longer than lead acid batteries.) Out the box the Lawnbott Evolution can mow well over 3 hours on one single charge with just one lithium battery! Charging only takes 2 - 3 hours. The Lawnbott LB3210 / LB3250 robotic lawn mower can be scheduled to mow twice a day.
The Lawnbott Evolution LB3210 robotic lawn mower is rated to handle up to 27-degree slopes. Optional spiked wheels will improve traction in addition to the wheels that are already on the mower.
The Lawnbott LB3210 / LB3250 Evolution is rain-proof but to protect your lawn, the included adjustable rain sensor alerts the robot to return to its docking station or stay in it's docking station while it's raining. The rain sensor can optionally be set to 'pause' the lawn mower until you restart its missions. You can also disable the rain sensor.
With its bump sensors, the Lawnbott Evolution LB3210 robotic lawn mower will stop & reverse direction after gently encountering an obstacle such as a tree or garden wall. This safety features also protects the lawn mower from running over items that may be lying in the yard, such as a bicycle or lawn statues. If for any reason the mower leaves the perimeter wire, it'll automatically shut down.
In previous years, the alarm was an optional add on for the LawnBott Evolution. But now the LawnBott LB3210 and LB3250 robotic lawn mower come with an alarm as a standard feature. When the lawnmower is picked up, the alarm goes off. It's not as loud and annoying as a car alarm, but loud enough to scream attention. In addition to the alarm, the LawnBott Evolution LB3210 / LB3250 robotic lawn mower (as well as all other LawnBott models) allow you to set a pin code before operating. This will render the robotic lawn mower useless in wrong hands.
A perimeter signal disturbance filter is now included with the LawnBott LB3210 and the LawnBott LB3250. This filter condenses the perimeter wire signal reducing interface and signal flares.
The Lawnbott Evolution LB3210 robotic lawn mower can cover up to 4 mowing zones automatically each with its own entry point. Think of zones as sections. Your front yard can be one zone. Your side yard is a zone & your backyard is a zone. In some cases the front and side areas can be combined into one zone depending on the size and yard configuration. Once setup, the Lawnbott Evolution LB3210 robot lawn mower will follow the perimeter wire until it reaches the desired zone then mow inside. After it completes mowing, the lawn mower robot follows the wire back to the docking station to charge. As a side note: We will gladly illustrate an installation plan for your yard. We offer this service free of charge to all our customers to eliminate the guesswork when determining the best mowing efficiency. Robomower.biz will also walk you through the one-time setup process step by step over the phone or through email to ensure your complete satisfaction.
The Lawnbott Evolution LB3210 robot lawn mower, actually all Lawnbotts, have custom IMS motors, which were specially designed to use for Lawnbott robotic lawn mowers. The direct motor-to-wheel method does not use loud plastic gears found in the Robomower. Not only is motor-to-wheel a lot more reliable, it's also nearly silent but yet more than powerful enough to handle steep slopes! The Lawnbott Evolution lawn mower can barely be heard standing 15 feet directly away from it.
As the LawnBott LB3210 / LB3250 robotic lawn mower mows, it monitors the amount of grass resistance from the blade. On low grass, the blade motor slows down, but on higher grass the LawnBott robotic lawn mower pushes more power to the mowing motor to slice through thickest grass. Smart - very smart! Blade modulation conserves battery power as well as reduces wear on the mowing motor.
All Lawnbotts have a "predicted" life span of at least 8-10 years before needing to replace parts other than the blade and battery. However, since all parts are user replaceable, it will last forever - or until you're ready to upgrade to the latest and greatest. (The average life span of a gas lawn mower is about 2-5 years with plugs, filters, gas and oil being regular maintenance.)
The LawnBott Professional LB3210 / LB3250 firmware is updatable free of charge through the internet with the optional cable. It can also mow without perimeter wire in fully enclosed areas.

Same as the Lawnbott LB3210 Evolution robotic lawn mower but comes with an additional lithium battery. The additional lithium battery increases mowing capability to lawns 1.25 acres in size. The additional battery is installed before each shipment.
